Most mass-produced ties are cut from a single yard of cloth. Unfortunately, they do not pay any attention to the bias. If not cut on the bias, a tie may not always recover even after it has been knotted for just a few minutes. Cutting on the bias gives our ties a slight elasticity, that allows our ties to bounce back even after repeated wearing. We may not get as many ties from a yard as the mass-produced tie companies, but we feel the expense is worth it for a quality and long wearing tie.
